E17 Designers offer a beautiful array of thoughtful, quirky, beautiful, handmade products, all locally crafted. They offer the most sociable of shopping experiences, leaping cheerfully across the boundary between a market and an exclusive design event.
Meet the makers on Sunday, 5th of November, where all styles and tastes will be catered for and not least in the kitchen, where Suzie Cakes will have seasonal sweets and savouries to eat on the day, with gifts including Walthamstow Mustard (made with Wild Card Brewery beer) to take away. Early birds can sample some firework-themed giveaways on entry, and there will also be live music from folky banjo player Tim Parker and the Ear Trumpets whilst you browse! Get involved with the ‘Back the Bid’ for the London Borough of Culture and help Waltham Forest achieve their goals: sign up and get a free badge then head off to the popular Waltham Forest Fireworks night later that evening!
Fancy an evening of culture and shopping? Then the E17 Designers Night Market on Friday, November 24th, is for you! Join us at the annual William Morris Gallery Christmas late night shopping event. With festive nibbles and mulled wine, plus a children's trail with prizes, the Gallery shop will also be open with new ranges for Christmas. You can, of course, also explore the new May Morris exhibition in the Gallery.
Guest designers at the Winter Market include Tom Gaul, an illustrator and designer who has built up a broad client list including BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, The New Yorker, The Radio Times and The Guardian, alongsideGino of Walthamstow, a multimedia artist who enjoys producing music, photography and video editing, and currently creating unique prints of Walthamstow's most iconic and popular places.
