The University of the Arts London (UAL) has launched a pioneering new retail space this autumn, selling design-led products and artwork from its abundance of talented alumni.
The future looks bright for the new artists’ residence at the former home of Vice Admiral Sir Roddy Macdonald, war veteran, painter and Chief of the Skye Highland Games.
Emma Johnson, a contemporary ceramicist from Brighton, is the fourth emerging designer/maker to be showcased as part of the Barbican’s Makers initiative, an open call for new creative talent. Her range of handmade ceramic homewares, including exclusive walnut-finished items, is on sale now in the Barbican Shop. 
Cambridge Original Printmakers 2018
Applications are now open for the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale 2018, which once again promises to deliver an outstanding event, as in previous years. Alongside the main exhibition in the historic Pitt Building in Trumpington Street, there will be talks by keynote speakers, workshops and demonstrations.

Selvedge Fair Pendle
The Selvedge Fair travels to Lancashire for the first 'Fabrications festival', at the Pendle Heritage Centre, a 17th century former farmhouse in Barrowford.A collection of 26 designer-makers will come together to showcase and sell their textile treasures, which will range from jewellery, fashion and leatherware to beautiful textile creations.
