Spring Showcase 2015
Going by the snow that most of us seem to have received this morning, it certainly doesn't feel as though we are in the throes of Spring! But let's pretend for one moment that the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the birds and bees are getting busy in the garden. Take time out with a cup of char and a biscuit (or five) to enjoy our newly published Spring Showcase. 
Meet London based jewellery designer, Farah Qureshi, whose love of travelling takes her to interesting places to source beautiful gems and stones for her next collection.  What is your background and where did you study?I have always loved drawing and painting since I was very young and later went onto study three dimensional design and metalwork at art school, specializing in jewellery design.

Now in it's sixth year, The Of Cabbages & Kings Christmas Market is an established fixture in the Stoke Newington calendar. It returns to Abney Hall this december for a festive weekend with a host of stalls selling some of the best art, fashion, prints, gifts, textiles and product design in London town.

Today we meet Derbyshire based illustrator, Lucy Gell who gains inspiration from her animals and walking in the local park. Character is what drives this illustrator to distraction, taking in all there is to be seen and capturing it in her drawings and etchings.

Gillian Lee Smith
Today we are pleased to meet Scottish artist Gillian Lee Smith. Now based in Nottingham, Gillian went on an artist journey three years ago and decided that her sculptural work had to be put on hold, so she could solely dedicate her time to her paintings. In 2012, she was a featured artist on BBC2’s Show me the Monet and made it through to the final exhibition at The Mall Gallery in London, where her work was sold at auction.
