UK Handmade accepts contributions from artists, designers and crafters for the Magazine, UK Handmade Blog and Made in the UK Blog.

The Magazine is produced quarterly with a seasonal theme featuring a varied range of articles, including: business advice, artist interviews, tutorials, features, events and much more.

The UK Handmade Blog is updated daily and the Made in the UK Blog is updated regularly. We are always on the lookout for people to help us find interesting stories and events that are happening around the UK. If you have an interesting story, tutorial, business advice, event happening near you which you feel fits the UK Handmade ethos, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Submission Guidelines

Articles must be well written and illustrated with high quality photography. If you wish to submit an idea for an article please send us a brief summary (approx 100 words) on your chosen subject.

If you would like to write for us regularly we require samples articles (new or old), along with why you would like to write for us and the type of articles you would like to write.

Please note we receive a large number of submissions and cannot accept them all. However, articles which are well presented and original are more likely to be accepted.

Successful submissions will be contacted by a member of the editorial team who will advise as to word count and design specifications. We reserve the right to alter any finished articles to fit within the magazine layout and editorial style if necessary.

UK Handmade does not pay for articles but all photography, artwork and articles are fully credited with links to each author's websites and blogs.
